Disclaimer

Informational and educational only. Not investment, engineering, or regulatory advice.

Virya Grid is not responsible for any mistakes or errors in the documents, data, and tools presented on this website. You use them at your own risk, and you agree to this each time you sign in.

The Virya Grid courses, games, and teaching simulator deliberately simplify how electricity markets and grids work in order to teach concepts. They do not replicate any real market's rules, prices, or outcomes. Nothing in a Course is operational, trading, or engineering guidance, and a certificate of completion is not an accredited credential, professional certification, continuing-education credit, or license.

Nothing on viryagrid.com creates an advisor, fiduciary, or professional relationship. Outputs are generated from public and third-party data and from simplified models, and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on anything on this site for any decision involving money, assets, project siting, interconnection, market participation, or regulatory compliance without independent verification and qualified professional advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make using this site.

Terms of Service

Effective date: August 28, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of viryagrid.com (the "Site"), operated by Anshul Saxena ("Virya," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  • Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login, let others use your account, or use another person's account. You are responsible for all activity under your credentials.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion and without notice.

2. The service is currently free

The Site is provided free of charge during its early-access period. We may introduce paid plans, usage limits, or feature tiers in the future. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in-product notice before any feature you use becomes paid, and you will never be charged without affirmatively agreeing to a price.

3. License to use the Site

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your own internal informational and educational purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. Our intellectual property

The Site and everything in it (software, models, simulators, datasets we compile, analyses, text, graphics, course material, and the Virya name and logos) are owned by Anshul Saxena or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Outputs generated for you by the Site's tools are licensed to you under Section 3, not sold.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, scrape, crawl, or bulk-download any part of the Site or its outputs, whether manually or with automated tools.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, models, or underlying data of the Site.
  • Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or publicly republish the Site's outputs, datasets, or course content, except for brief excerpts with attribution to Virya.
  • Use the Site to build, train, or improve a competing product or dataset.
  • Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or authentication.
  • Upload malicious code, interfere with the Site's operation, or probe it for vulnerabilities without written permission.
  • Use the Site in violation of any law, market rule, or third-party right.

6. Confidential information

Non-public features, beta functionality, unreleased analyses, pricing discussions, and anything we mark confidential are our confidential information. You will not disclose them to third parties or use them except to use the Site. This obligation survives termination for three years. Invited beta testers are additionally bound by the Beta / Early Access Agreement.

7. Not professional advice

The Site provides information, education, and analytical tools. Nothing on the Site is investment, trading, legal, tax, engineering, regulatory, or other professional advice, and nothing creates an advisor or fiduciary relationship. Do not rely on the Site for any decision involving money, assets, project siting, interconnection, market participation, or regulatory compliance without independent verification and qualified professional advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make using the Site.

8. Data and accuracy

The Site draws on public and third-party sources (including ISO/RTO, EIA, FERC, and state regulatory data) and on models that simplify real systems. We do not warrant that any content, output, or simulation is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any purpose. Third-party data remains subject to its own terms. Models and results may change without notice.

9. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose without obligation to you.

10. Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services for authentication, hosting, and analytics. Your use of those services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or links.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANSHUL SAXENA AND HIS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in those, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Anshul Saxena from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing contact@viryagrid.com or using the account settings page where available. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. Sections 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS / AAA in Santa Clara County, California, except that either party may bring claims in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property violations in any court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or in-product notice, and the updated Terms will show a new effective date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.

17. General

These Terms, the Virya Grid Supplement below, and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these Terms; we may. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Virya Grid Supplement

This Supplement is part of the Terms of Service for viryagrid.com. It covers the courses, games, and teaching simulator (together, the "Courses").

A. Course access

Enrolling in a Course gives you a personal, non-transferable license to view the Course content for as long as the Course remains available on the Site. We may retire, revise, or replace Courses. If we later charge for a Course, access terms (duration, refunds) will be stated at purchase.

B. One learner per account

Courses are licensed to one named learner. Sharing logins, screen-sharing lessons to groups, or purchasing one seat for a team is prohibited. We may suspend accounts that show concurrent use from multiple locations. Team and classroom licenses are available on request at contact@viryagrid.com.

C. No downloading or redistribution

You may not download (except where we provide a download button), record, transcribe, or redistribute videos, simulator scenarios, quizzes, or course notes, or post them to any file-sharing service or AI training dataset.

D. Certificates are not credentials

Any certificate of completion we issue confirms only that you completed the Course's lessons. It is not an accredited credential, professional certification, continuing-education credit, or license, and does not qualify you to perform any regulated activity. Do not represent it otherwise.

E. Educational simplifications

The games and teaching simulator deliberately simplify how electricity markets and grids work in order to teach concepts. They do not replicate any real market's rules, prices, or outcomes, and nothing in a Course is operational, trading, or engineering guidance.

F. User content

If the Site lets you post comments, questions, or simulator scenarios, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate that content, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We may remove content at our discretion. Report content that infringes your rights to contact@viryagrid.com.

G. Learners must be 18 or older

The Site is not directed at children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it. Educators who want to use the Courses with students should contact us about a classroom license.
